Thee Hypnotics are a collision of high octane Detroit proto punk and wow factor British R n B. In 1986 Ray Hanson and Jim formed Thee Hypnotics, they gate crashed the London underground neo psychedelic party with sexy swagger and intense volume and never looked back to talk about it. They trail blazed a history of incendiary live shows infused with destruction, attitude and self-destruction delivering four LPs and a string of singles along the way.
They have toured with The Black Crowes, The Cult and shared the stage with Motorhead, The Damed, The Cramps and Mudhoney.
Ray ´Sonic´ Hanson in 1999 creates his other band Whores Of Babylon and Jim Jones creates The jim Jone Revue and Jim Jones nd the righteous mind.
2018 has seen the band hit the road with their play or die live show to ecstatic reactions from the press and their fans. Celebrating thirty year of brotherhood, their record label Beggars Banquet have reissued their recordings in a classy and glittery box set.
Make no mistake, Thee Hypnotics are destructive and soulful and speak the language of rock and roll!!
